What can I do with Folgers plastic coffee containers?
I have lots of Folgers containers. Since hurricane Katrina, we do not have recycling in our Parish (County). I am looking for creative and decorative things to do with them.

I use them to store seasonal candle shades from Yankee Candle. Store the shades upside down in the container.

Hi! I use them for storage, painting, stripping finishes. Mine never made it to recycling! Stay safe!
Make homeless care packages. Socks, quarters, ziplock bags, snacks inside.
You could maybe spray paint them, then glue them together on the sides, then turn the whole thing on its side for some pantry or sock storage.

spray paint and use as a vase or planter
I know you can use them for canisters. Painted to match your kitchen. My husband uses them all over the garage, to store nails, screws, bolts, blades etc. I use to store embroidery thread, yarn, crochet hooks, ribbons. I even keep dog treats in a few as the lid makes it a tight seal and keeps the dog food fresh. I keep rice, brown sugar, macaroni, etc in others Stores nicely in my pantry.
Hi Cheryl. You can use your cans in a lot of different ways. Put ice salt or sand in one or two of them. Put them in the trunk of your car. If you ever get stuck in the snow, you can put the salt or sand under your tires. It should be enough to give you traction and out of the snow. You could also use your coffee cans to make first aid kits. Keep one in your house, put one in your car, and give them to family members. Good luck Cheryl. Happy New Year.
We also have lots of folgers containers, the larger ones. We have a small farm and we use them for storing things and in our feed/grain tubs. Another use would be to get some spray paint made for plastic and paint them and use them for planter pots....
Hi Cheryl, hope this inspires you.

I would cover them with decoupage rice paper and then use them as planters.
Decorate with Sticky backed plastic and store stuff in them and throw away the ugly containers.
