Mirror clips??
I have a question on the clips. I’m getting ready to do board and batten in both bathrooms. How do I take these clips off the wall? Also I like the mirrors but would like to jazz them up a bit so looking for any suggestions. They will have to be further from the wall than they are currently to accommodate the b&b. Thanks!

Those are real easy -- carefully remove the mirror and they're screwed into the wall. You'll see the screw head once you take the mirror off. Try a mirror search using the top left search bar on Hometalk, I guarantee you'll find a ton of inspiration!

To jazz up the mirror, you might want to use a stencil and some etching cream around the edge to create a decorative edge.
Hi Pamk, hope these ideas help you out, mirror clips usually just push in, you can lift the mirror upwards to slide it out of the clips and remove them by pulling (UNLESS you can see that there are screws, then unscrew).

Plastic Clips
Plastic mirror clips have a snap on cover that hides the screw to remove them. The cover just snaps on to the clip and can be removed by sliding your flat tip screwdriver under the edge of the cover and prying out. Use your variable speed drill to remove the screws holding the mirror clips to the wall. Begin at the top corner either right or left, and then remove a clip from the opposite bottom corner. Continue this pattern until all the clips are removed.
Metal Clips
Metal mirror clips do not have covers that pop off. Push up on the mirror to release it from the bottom clips. Remove the bottom clips with your drill and a Phillips head or flat tip drill bit. Allow the bottom to slide down to release the mirror from the top clips

Two styles of clips. One style the bottom clips are fixed and the top are spring loaded. You should be able to push the two top ones outward to clear the mirror and remove it. Another style the clips have elongated screw holes so they can slide along the screw once it is loosely tightened.

Hi PamK. Begin by loosening the screws in the bottom clips (just loosen) and then loosen and remove the screws in the top clips. You should then be able to lift the mirror up and out. You can jazz your mirror up with stencils. There are so many pretty ones to choose from. Good luck.

Hi there,
Loosen bottom screws then should move enough for you to take the mirror out and then remove the other screws. Decorate the outside of the mirror with tiny tiles or buttons or pennies or whatever you fancy gluing on. Re fit the mirror screws and re-fit mirror as before.
These mirrors can suddenly become very heavy when you are removing them from the wall. It will be much easier if you can get an extra pair of hands to help you with this task rather than attempting it yourself. (Especially since you will probably be trying not to have your feet slip into the sink!)
This should be a fairly simple job once you know what kind of clips were used to hang the mirror:

Replace them with prongs as spacers.
You will need a flat knife or scraper and put it under the clip and tap it up. It should slide up so the mirror can be removed.

Mirror clips either screw in which can be taken off easily or clip on and you take them off with a scraper. I love your beveled edge mirror. Since they are oval, it would be hard to put a frame on it. BUT you could buy etching cream and etch the sides where beveled. You can buy the cream in Michaels or Hobby Lobby and I am sure Amazon probably sells it too. It is easy to work with and will give you a little suttle pizzaz

I wanted to give an update on my bathroom mirror. I’m not totally done with this project. I am going to put a piece of wood near the bottom of the mirror for stability but I don’t have the table saw to cut what I need and will be enlisting the help of a neighbor next week. I installed board and batten and found out the clips on my oval mirror have springs in the top two. I pried those off the mirror ever so gently and mirror came right off. No glue thankfully. I tried buying some drill bits that cut holes into mirrors and glass but epic failure. It just put scratch marks on the mirror but that will be covered by the wood. My local glass and mirror guy drilled two holes near the top and I bought these things called stand offs or stand outs. Screwed those into the wall with heavy duty anchors. Then you just screw the stand outs together with the mirror in between the two pieces. In my master bathroom I had him drill four holes two in top and two in the bottom and I’m just using four of the stand outs instead of the wood at the bottom of the mirror. Two different looks in the bathrooms. I’ve attached a couple of pictures
