Turn the pan upside down and put baking soda all over the outside of the copper, moisten it with vinegar, take 1/2 of a lemon and scrub.
Salt and vinegar always work, but so does ketchup!
Use ketchup.
Hello. I haven’t clean copper in a while but barkeepers friend has listed copper as a use on the labeling.
It is a proven cleaner in my home as it has so many cleaning applications. Hope this helps.
Hi Yvonne, Here are some posts on great ways to clean copper... https://www.hometalk.com/search/all?filter=clean%20copper
1 Tbsp salt, 1 cup white vinegar. Mix and apply with a soft cloth and rinse.
Hi Yvonne, hope this helps you out,
Rub a mixture of 1 tablespoon of table salt and 1 cup of white vinegar onto the copper with a soft cloth and rinse. Or, immerse the tarnished copper into a pot of 3 cups of water and the salt-vinegar mixture, bring to a boil and boil until the grime and tarnish comes off.
"If you have a large copper item and you want to clean it quickly, you can boil three cups of water, add a cup of vinegar and one tablespoon or more of salt," says Reichert. Next, you would stir until the salt is dissolved and then place the copper item in the water. "The tarnish will come right off."
Hi Yvonne,
Place it in Coca Cola overnight, or use Copper Cleaner from Supermarket!
Slather ketchup on the copper, let it sit for a while, then wipe off.
Here is a natural method you could try. https://www.treehugger.com/how-to-clean-copper-naturally-4864294#:~:text=Rub%20a%20mixture%20of%201,grime%20and%20tarnish%20comes%20off.
Salt and ketchup or Salt and white vinegar. will polish copper to a shiny finish.
Hello Yvonne. I have never cleaned copper so I did a bit of reading to give you a good answer to your question. This is what I learned: mix a quarter-cup salt, a quarter-cup flour, and enough vinegar to make a thick paste. Use a soft cloth to rub the paste on the surface of the copper. Let it set a couple minutes and then wipe the paste off. Then buff the copper until it shines. Good luck Yvonne.
