Best headboard brackets!
How can I attach a headboard to this frame please?
I cannot drill holes on wall as I rent but want to be able to either use wall panels or a headboard that stays put on this exact frame.
Thanks in advance

Hi Abi I think your easiest solution would be to either build a free standing headboard or modify a headboard so it can stand on its own. Here's a basic image of what I'm talking about.

Hello. You could try to carefully drill a hole in the steel frame following recommended parameters and speeds to protect your bit.

Additionally some sort of clamping bracket might be suggested depending the thickness of your headboard legs.
Hello, there should be some pre drilled holes for bolts to hold a headboard on,

Yes there should be pre-drilled holes. Pick something that can lean against the wall and you can even add command hook style velcro for stability and it's renter friendly
I simply attached my headboard to the wall and pushed the bed frame up against that.

I think your best bet is to hang something on the wall above it. You could hang using command hooks or if the wall isn't sheetrock, alien tape. They won't damage the wall when you remove it.
Lowes, Amazon and Home Depot sell brackets to put on the frame. You can attach a headboard to the brackets. Then attach the headboard leds and tighten them securely. Finally, bolt the headboard to the wall using wall mounts. You may optionally also drill the headboard directly into the bed frame.
You can mount your headboard to the frame pictured by using "L" brackets available at any hardware store. I would use several along the width of the bed. In that way you are not doing any damage whatsoever to the rental. When you move the headboard can be removed from the frame.
Without seeing the head board, some metal "L" brackets, bolted to the frame may work. Will need a drill and some bolts.. Show pic of the head board so we can help..
I had a brass headboard and leaned it on the wall and put the bed frame and mattress against it and it stayed there nicely. We have a wood headboard for our king size bed and have it against the wall with the frame and mattress pushed against it and it stays very solid against the wall. If you are a renter and do not want to mar the wall and really can't attached it to the bed frame, I think this is the way to go.
Drill holes in bed frame to match up with headboard holes and bolt together with bolts, washers, and nuts.
