5 Minute Valentine Scrabble Garland
This Scrabble garland is such a quick and easy project - and would be fun to make for other holidays, too! I was inspired to make this by my friend Valeri @we_dabble -- be sure to go check out her fun Instagram page!
I started by wrapping the end of my twine with clear tape to keep it from fraying while I strung the beads.
After our home burned, someone gave me a big container of beads to help me get my jewelry business started again. Aren't they pretty? These were among them. You could use any kind of bead, though!
Next, I laid out my letter tiles where I thought I wanted them. I always snatch up all of the cast off Scrabble games I see at thrift stores and yard sales - they are so fun to create things with! Plus, I am addicted to playing Scrabble and Words With Friends! (Do you like those games?)
Then I used just a little bit of hot glue to attach them to the twine. Be sure to put the twine as close to the edge of the tile as possible.
Doing this will make it so that your letters hang nicely, and don't "flip":
After that, I cut my twine, being sure to leave the ends nice and long so that I could tie this onto whatever I wanted. Doesn't it look cute on this wood sliding calendar? I think it would also look great on a picture frame!
I cannot wait to make one for St. Patrick's day! It really only took me about 5 minutes, and is such a fun addition to any decor! If you make one, please share photos. I love to see your DIYs! Also, be sure to follow me on Instagram or Facebook (Jag Cag Design) for lots of DIY and home design inspiration! Your comments and follows are what keep me inspired to keep posting!
Happy crafting,
Xo

Love it.
Do you have instructions for that fabulous perpetual calendar?

Ty! I don’t sorry! But I think a few places online still sell them if you search for it!

Great idea if you have the leftover letters to make that happen.

So cute! I use the letters for messages year round. I think I am more interested in the perpetual calendar! IS that a DIY project?
