How do I use peel and stick tiles to cover an ugly floor space?
Will that even work? There's a small space of ugly old flooring in our laundry room that needs something new. I'm truly at a loss and need suggestions.

If the floor is in good condition, the answer is yes. Here's a link with more information:

Hi there! It depends on what you plan on putting the peal and stick tile over? If its already just sheet linoleum that would make a good base for peal and stick as long its also in good shape. One thing most people don't mention is though they are pretty sticky you should still put linoleum glue under them to help them REALLY adhere and last for you.
Here are a few tips on peel & stick. Thoroughly clean and dry. I would use alcohol as a final "rinse" to make sure all residues are removed.
Use adhesive to partner with the peel & stick. Many times the glue that comes on it has dried and will seem sticky but will eventually come unglued. Especially if exposed to any amount of water. The kind I use says to put down and wait until tacky to apply flooring.
Other than that, the only caution I have is that if your "ugly" flooring has a pattern then over time you may see impressions form in the in the new flooring.
Peel and stick will work fine as long as you have a smooth even surface. I did not want to rip out 1/2" thick broken outdated tile in my bath so I down self stick carpet squares. There are tons of colors and designs. I filled the spaces inbetween the tiles with grout and left it dry. You could also use silicone caulk and a putty knife to fill gaps to make floor even with place and press tile or carpet. I got a box that had ridges in the tile in lines so I turned every other tile in the opposite direction. I LOVE the look and it was easy. Even cutting around two door frames pipes for the toilet and shower it took an afternoon.
You could paint the old floor I will leave info below on that but the peel and stick tiles will work too

It really depends on what you plan to stick the new flooring onto, what the existing flooring is. Just know that if something goes awry with your existing floor, it will damage the new floor you put over it and you're then spending twice as much to fix it. It's best to remove the old and start from scratch.
Hi Glenda, peel and stick tiles are not hard wearing enough for a floor. Is it possible o paint the floor perhaps? If yes, then this video will show you how - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJrSl4RoHms
Hello. Have you considered a painted floor? We have a painted concrete floor in our basement laundry room the only floor that doesn’t have a covering and we are very happy with it.
Hi,
You could use a Kitchen Rug if you prefer that!

If the old flooring is in any way peeling just remove it before applying any new...
