Hi Barb, I don't have a recipe for gnat spray but we put some rotting fruit in a mason jar covered with a perforated plastic wrap. The gnats are attracted to fruit and fly/crawl through the holes and then get stuck in the jar.

I use wine or beer in a shallow glass and add a small amount of dish soap. Cover in plastic (poke holes in it with a toothpick) and in the am they will be in the bottom of the glass.

Buy some of those sticky tapes that are made to hang up.
Find what they’re wanting to eat and get it out of their range.
Unfortunately you’ll just end up spraying everything else. I have yet to find anything that works but you could try wine or cider vinegar in a cup covered in plastic wrap with holes punched through.
