HI there! Here's some more information about using liquid soap on lawns: https://growyouryard.com/what-is-the-effect-of-dish-soap-on-lawns/ I've heard it really helps against lawn grubs and pests as well as certain molds on grass.
Hi there, here are two articles that may help. One discusses the lawn pest specifically the other is more general, but talks about fleas and weeds. I've used the soap method on indoor bugs so I suspect it would work outside, but for me it's never been a permanent solution. I need to repeat it often. https://homeguides.sfgate.com/rid-lawn-pests-dish-soap-22458.html

The soap mixture by itself won’t kill bugs.

I would add some 20 Mule Team Borax (laundry additive) to some further-diluted soap solution in a spray bottle. It will have to be shaken before each use.
If you’re looking at killing ants, then I would go to dollar store and buy their generic version of Roach Pruff which is a powdered boric acid solution. They walk through it and then ingest it when they go back to their nest to bathe.
It will do little to aid in killing "bugs" and it can be harmful to earthworms and you DON'T want to kill them. You also have to consider if you have dogs. My dogs eat grass EVERYDAY and I do not put ANY chemicals on sprays on my lawn for that reason.
Liquid soap is great for bushes and trees to get rid of bugs. It will help your lawn but not rid of fleas.
Using liquid soap for getting rid of flees on your lawn, may not guarantee a good result. But it can definitely help on bugs present on your plants.
Hope this helps!😊
Hi there, you can make a pesticide for plants with this,
Mix 2.5 tablespoons of the dish soap and 2.5 tablespoons of vegetable oil with 1 gallon of warm soft water. The dish soap used in the recipe must not contain bleach, which could harm the plants. You can also just use the soap and skip the oil
