There are lots of different Memorial Day wreath ideas out there. But, I wanted to try to keep the expense down and some of the ideas I’ve seen are rather expensive.
When it comes to patriotic door decor, wreaths are the most common DIY project. This one is very easy to make and a lot less costly than the ones you’d find at Pier One or even Walmart.
As I mentioned, you can easily change up what you put on this wreath. I wanted a patriotic door wreath that was able to be used for different holidays or even all year round.
- Place the grapevine wreath on a flat surface.
- Remove the red, white and blue flowers from the stems and the leaves. You will need wire cutters to do this.
- Decide where to place the flowers so they look right.
- Using a hot glue gun, place a small dab of hot glue on the back of a flower and press it into place.
- Continue until all of the red, white, and blue flowers are on the wreath.
- Paint the star cutout gold using antique gold acrylic paint.
- Attach it to the grapevine wreath.
- Glue on the mini flag at the side of the wreath.
- Hang and enjoy.
