These lamps were offered to me and to be honest, I almost said no. Thankfully my diy brain took over and I could see the potential!

I loved the detail and had a place in mind to use them. They had the typical vintage style lamp shade so I removed those and gave them a good wash to remove any dust or grease.

Once dry, I wrapped a grocery bag around the top of each one to cover the tops.

I used white spray paint and sprayed them both, slowly rotating and spraying in even strokes from far away.

Spray paint dries pretty quick so I was able to bring them into the cottage I was staging and try out the lamp shade. I was so excited!

Too much white for me so I put them into the room they would be going in, for a closer look. Much better!

They really worked out great, because they have what look like big leaves coming out of the top, I think it fit the beachy look very well.

The client was very happy!

It always amazes me how much some simple paint can make something look so much better!
