Barn Box Makeover
I stopped at a yard sale that was along the highway. There were many fun things along the driveway for sale. As I made my way up the driveway, the lady having the sale told me she had some things in her barn she wanted to get rid of. This old box was one of those things.
I bought the box among many other things and brought it home to make it over. The first thing I did was paint the inside panels a creamy white. Then, I went over the paint with sandpaper to rough it up. It was an old box from a barn so I still wanted it to look like that.
After that, I went over the wood with some clear wax which really deepened the color of the wood.
The old, barn box is now in our living room as a coffee table. It is the perfect spot to put your feet up, set your coffee on or for the kids to play on.
