Marbled Drawer Pulls From Polymer Clay

I couldn't find cabinet hardware for our bathroom makeover that I liked and that were in our budget. Instead I refaced some old knobs with a polymer clay treatment meant to look like jadeite.
The finished knobs have natural looking striations of color. Marble and marbled surfaces are very popular right now, and this is an inexpensive way to achieve the look.
I mixed together several shades of polymer clay to achieve the striping of natural stone.
These old knobs that I found at a thrift store are the base of the new marbled knobs in my bathroom.
I rolled out the clay, cut out circles and then molded the clay to cover the knobs. The knobs then get baked at a low temp in the oven to set the clay.
After sealing the clay I installed the new hardware in our bathroom.
Combined with the new dark finish on our bathroom cabinets, the marbled knobs make the cabinet look entirely new!

A very inspired idea. Looks great. Something a renter like me could do easily and cheaply.

Love the look.
Love the knob info but really what did you use on those oak cabinets? That’s exactly what I’d like to see done to mine
