I love to use natural elements in my home décor. One of my favorite blooms are hydrangeas...especially this time of year. They have beautiful fall colors that I want to enjoy all season. I have found the secret to preserving these blooms!
Today I am willing to share the secret with you!
It is the time of the season to clip those last, beautiful, hydrangea blooms. Wouldn't you love to know how to keep and enjoy them longer? Follow this clever tip and you will have perfectly dried hydrangea blooms...
Put your clippings into a vase with just enough water to cover the stems. Then...let the water evaporate. That's it! The slow evaporation allows the blooms to dry out and stay beautiful.
Now you can use your dried blooms to decorate your home for fall...and longer! Enjoy!

Cloth and Patina on Oct 17, 2014Hydrangeas don't really grow well in South Florida so have resorted to buying them fresh and trying to dry them (so far with no luck) I am going to try with less water just covering the stems and see if that will work. Thank you for the tip!
