Adding A Little Fall Decoration To The Garden ~

Our gourd crop was very bountiful this year! Since we had so many, I decided to do a little Fall decorating in the garden too! I placed a squash in the center of the bird bath and surrounded it with gourds. There isn't much blooming now so it adds a little color to the garden. The birds probably aren't going to be too happy about it but it's just temporary!
Fall has always been my favorite season! The crisp air is so invigorating and the colors are breath taking! Nothing adds more color to your Fall decorations than gourds.
So on a beautiful Fall day I headed to the garden to start harvesting them. The bright yellow blossoms were peeking through the fence .
I gathered a few in one of my old egg baskets to display. Then I cut a small crab apple branch to place on top for a little added color.
The egg basket was set on an old bench in front of the stone wall. Now the garden is ready for Fall too!
