ASCP on a Brick Fireplace

I recently convinced my Mom that here red brick fireplace would look great with a wash of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I used the Pure White, thinned it down with water and applied it as a wash. It was a wonderful transformation! Even my Dad liked it when I finished and he had been skeptical! Four hours and one quart of paint = one great update
Using a big red cup I mixed the paint with water - about half and half - maybe a bit more paint than water. I just mixed water till the paint was drippy when I pulled the brush out of the paint.
The white brick makes the decor on the shelf pop much more than the red did,
The white is so much more cheery and bright and we are loving it still!
