Burlap-Wrapped Fall Pillows

I don't know if you have noticed, but the craft stores have really fun burlap ribbon these days! So I decided it would be fun to dress up the throw pillows on my home's sofa for the fall with burlap ribbon!
To dress up my pillows, all I needed to do was cut enough burlap ribbon to circle around my pillows. I then secured each piece of chevron ribbon with self-stick Velcro dots on each end of ribbon. (On the back of each pillow.) I simply tied the plain green ribbon around my pillows with a bow. So easy! My kids really love the new look of the sofa.
This is what my sofa looked like before I added the chevron ribbon. I made the throw pillows you see out of $2 packs of cloth napkins (on clearance) that I got from Target! They were quite easy to put together.
Before that, I made DIY throw pillows out of cloth placemats from Target. Those were even easier! All I did was open a bit of a seam in each pillow, add stuffing, and sew them back up! I made those pillows about 10 minutes before my new sofa (pictured) arrived!

I already have supplies to make Christmas pillows for my sofa, and will be sharing that on my blog, Mom Home Guide, soon!
