Holiday Mason Jar Centerpiece

Decorating for the holidays is a lot of work but entertaining should carefree and fun! I had to come up with festive centerpieces that could be made on the fly for a holiday event and Mason Jars were the perfect solution. They only take a few minutes to put together but your guests will think they are brilliant.
Mason jars are the perfect table centerpiece for the holidays. Add a poinsettia, cranberries and fresh greens for a festive touch
I placed a submersible light in the bottom, then filled with decorative acrylic crystals. The lights are not necessary and you could use tea lights, but I wanted the crystals to glow on the tables.
Next, add a layer of fresh, frozen or faux cranberries.
Wrap a 2.5 inch poinsettia in moss and stuff this into the top of the jar.
Add evergreen clippings to fill the top of the centerpiece. Just like that, you have a something all your guests will love ( and try to take home ;) )

My local nursery had those little 2.5-inch poinsettias this year. How do you get such a small plant to "bloom"?

@Douglas Hunt We brought in a variety that specifically only gets to 6" high for these little plants and pinch out lateral buds to form one single flower. However, you could take cuttings from other varieties and just regulate the growth :)

@Sow and Dipity Thanks! I had no idea they had bred them down to that size.
