Add Craftsman Style Trim To Your Builder Grade Doors!

Recently on the blog I wrote about updating your hallway with two easy DIY projects. The first project I shared was adding a simple chair rail and today I'm sharing how to add seriously easy craftsman style door trim to your existing builder grade doors.
My husband started by removing the original tops of the trim with a rotary tool. Meanwhile, I was in the basement making the new trim. I did this by purchasing 3 1/2" x 3/8" pieces of pine moulding and base. Then glued the three pieces together with wood glue. I clamped and let dry completely.
Once dried I sanded lightly and painted white. Then installed using a nail gun. Pretty slick and added instant character to our hallway!
Enjoyed the project?
