I needed a folding table for events and when guests visit. I found one for $8 at an estate sale. Perfect size and folds great...but it was ugly!
With a little paint and some distressed painted trim the table is ready to party.

Ugly metal folding table bought for $8 at an estate sale.
It gets freshened up with a new coat of chalk type paint. French vanilla on top and dark rustic brown on the legs. But it still needs something!
How about $30 worth of trim?? Yep, I've always wanted to use this thick chunky rope trim on a project and this is the one.
I had to cut around buttons that pop out to hold the legs in place and the folding table handle. But the ABC's helped. Read how on the website.
The trim was distressed with tea and ironed vinegar technique then a liming wax was rubbed on and buffed. The trim was then glue on with liquid nails.
Now the folding metal table is ready for a party! :)

Boy, do I get that! We give ourselves too many projects. We recently moved and I'm overwhelmed with boxes. I'm learning to set most aside and do the most important first. That's the way I plan to do my DIY projects when the unpacking is done.
