Giving Plain Clay Pots a Beachy Makeover

Using leftover latex and milk paint, rope and twine, I gave these garage sale clay pots a beachy makeover--SO EASY, but super pretty!
This would be a great craft project to do with the Kiddos! Using leftover paints and a sponge brush, I just gave garage sale pots a quick coat of paint. (I was going for a beachy look, but let the Kiddos pick out their own color :D )
Once dry, I gave them a quick scuff sand to age them a bit. If your Kiddos can braid, they'll like this part...I used rope for the larger pots (double bands) and twine for the smaller pots (braided) and attached to the post to dress them up a bit.
I used my hot glue gun to attach the bands and braids to the pots, BUT PLEASE DON'T LET THE KIDDOS HELP WITH THIS PART--hot glue really hurts!
There you have it--A SUPER CHEAP, SUPER EASY, AND SUPER CUTE trash to treasure makeover! Feel free to check out full post for other tips!
