I found these copper tinted cake pans at my local thrift shop. For $1.99 I couldn't pass them up and knew exactly how I would use them.
I decided they would make great display pieces for treats, hardware, or anything really! I thought I'd probably use them on my desk, so I got busy.
I took a chair spindle from my wood stash and decided how each part would connect.
With my jig saw, I trimmed the spindle into two pieces then buffed the ends with a palm sander until they were nice and smooth.
I dabbed on a little gorilla glue to each spindle end and then secured the cake pans with wood screws.
They now live in my bathroom where one houses my jewelry and the other holds makeup. I love them so much and couldn't be happier with them.
