Turn and old stained antique table into a modernized beauty with just paint and a little imagination.
Here is the old table. Obviously it's in need of some serious love!
It needed sanded down lightly and the glass edges were taped off.
I painted the whole table in a nice navy blue paint mixed with BB Frosch chalk powder.
I then made the design on the bottom with more tape. I worked one side at a time.
When I pulled the tape off the bottom some of the navy blue paint came off with it. No problem! I just left it, lightly sanded and waxed over it to create a worn look.
I also sanded the edges of the rest of the table to give it that nice rustic feel.
I waxed the whole table with soft wax, rubbed it in and then buffed it the next day. DONE!!!!

Clearissa Coward on Apr 30, 2015This is very pretty and you did not use chalk paint. How refreshing. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against chalk paint except I have been afraid to jump the broom with it and get on the bandwagon, but your piece is beautiful and you used regular paint. Great job. :)
