We took a metal head/foot board set and made it into a portable flower bed. This is great for a porch/deck or balcony where you don't have a lawn to plant flowers in.
We used two dresser drawers from a previous project, then attached them to a piece of plywood. We then took some reclaimed barnwood and encased the drawers. Finally we attached the bed frame to the dresser drawers and viola...flower "bed"!

Dee on Jun 08, 2015Cute. i would like to see it planted. I think I would also put another narrow box in the middler, perhaps slightly higher. My vision includes herbs (higher, middle box) and some lettuce edging a few (perhaps edible??) flowers. maybe even a cherry tomato. I think I would put it on little rollers, too. Then you could follow the sun if you have yard space available. Hmmm, a little rolling salad bar.
