We took a metal head/foot board set and made it into a portable flower bed. This is great for a porch/deck or balcony where you don't have a lawn to plant flowers in.
We used two dresser drawers from a previous project, then attached them to a piece of plywood. We then took some reclaimed barnwood and encased the drawers. Finally we attached the bed frame to the dresser drawers and viola...flower "bed"!

Cute. i would like to see it planted. I think I would also put another narrow box in the middler, perhaps slightly higher. My vision includes herbs (higher, middle box) and some lettuce edging a few (perhaps edible??) flowers. maybe even a cherry tomato. I think I would put it on little rollers, too. Then you could follow the sun if you have yard space available. Hmmm, a little rolling salad bar.

@Dee, thanks. I made it to sell so I would not be able to plant in it, unless it doesn't sell, lol! I like the idea of rollers, that would be a neat addition.
