Bohemian Inspired: Fabric Wrapped Bedhead

Easy
The last couple of weeks have been a little hectic. So this week I'm taking it easy and sharing a rather whimsical project I recently completed ... my bohemian inspired fabric wrapped bedhead.
This little single bed resides in our guest bedroom, which also doubles as a home-office for Paul. Here is the before photo, this simple little bed was all my budget could afford at the time.
I'm not sure what made me decide to wrap the bedhead in fabric. My husband Paul thinks it was my subconscious working overtime ... and I think he's right. I had spent the previous week creating a Pinterest board inspired by the Charleston farmhouse.

Charleston was the home and country meeting place of the writers, painters and intellectuals known as the Bloomsbury Group. The artists decorated and painted the walls, doors and furniture of the Charleston farmhouse ... and it looks amazing!
I knew I couldn't paint like these artists could, but with all this inspiration ... I guess it had to come out somehow. I got it into my head I was going to wrap the guest bed-head in some colourful strips of fabric ... much to the amusement of my family.
It really was such a simple project ... I used strips of fabric from bunting I had made one Christmas which never really quite worked. Just a little bohemian inspiration. For more details and photos, please check out my blog http://honeyandroses.com/
