DIY Back Yard Walk-Way

After moving into our home we knew the back yard walkway needed a make over. By using the existing slabs and some treated 6x6's we were able to turn this jagged walk-way into something fun to stroll down.
The path was jagged with uneven slates slabs sinking into the ground. A sure way to break and ankle.
Weather treated, ground contact 6x6's frame the walk way.
Once the are has been framed the dirt had to be leveled.
Gravel dust was used to level each stone that was laid. Using gravel dust also ensures that the slate pavers won't sink back into the dirt. Which was part of the original problem.
By using existing slate slabs and doing the work ourselves we saved a bundle and still ended up with a pretty neat walk way.
This is HUGE improvement. It is now level, even and one doesn't have to worry about twisting an ankle.

Have a question about this project?
Does the rain not flood there?
What were the wood boards used for..was not explained?
I see you used 6 x 6 landscape posts; however your resource list does not list them, instead it lists boards so when i click the link it only shows box of small cut boards, didnt know if this was a type error or if you used timbers and boards?
