Distressed Stamped Décor Pots...
by

Distressed with white paint, and stamped with cute pictures, these DIY décor pots, are fabulous for holding bits and bobs.
Great for as a gift too! I have used mine for my bits in the Art Studio, but think: A pot of make-up, spices for the spice lovin' cook, an assortment of pens and markers for a home office gift.....endless options really!
You will need terracotta pots. I used small sized ones.
All you do is dry brush the pots with white paint.
Use a back and forth motion to brush the paint on.
Stamping pots is a little bit tricky...
Roll the stamp as you press it to the shape of the pot.
Just what I need in the art studio to hold all those bits and pieces.
Enjoyed the project?

Jill Ron Pike on Jul 21, 2015I used even smaller, seedling-sized pots, to create wedding reception favors. Instead of stamps I used small ivy leaf stencils, green and ivory paint...with a few bounces of the brushes I had a variegated ivy leaf on each pot. I tucked in a bit of netting holding mints tied with a small faux ivy leaf. It was fun, and my guests loved them. I didn't distress the pots, though it looks great here.
