How to Paint a Wood Photo Backdrop With Food Coloring

I know this might sound strange, but yes, you can actually paint or stain wood with food coloring.
How I found that, you ask? Well, I tried staining some jars using the food coloring method and for me was a complete disaster. I loved the colors too much to just throw them away and following the principle ''use everything, waste nothing'' I thought I should give them a try on recycled wood and create a double sided photo backdrop.
The possibilities are endless, I love the final result on both of my sides.
Come check on the blog how I painted the other side.

Use recycled wood from old pallets with as many holes and cracks, to add a little bit of character
Prepare you food coloring paint and start painting/staining
If the original wood has different colors and shades on some areas, the same food coloring paint will stain and look completely different on those areas.
Repeat the staining/painting until fully satisfied, then add contrasting objects to see how they will look on your new wood photo backdrop
