Nightstand Updated With Fabric

This $5 yard sale find was in need of a makeover. I wanted to do something "different" from painting it.
While I love the look of chippy paint, it also had water rings and lots of dirt and grime.
Instead of painting it, I first gave it a good cleaning. Then I cut fabric to the shapes and sizes of the sides, top, and drawers front using brown kraft paper.
I attached the fabric using spray adhesive. Then I brushed on a generous coat of Mod Podge over the fabric covered area.
Pretty trim was added to the edges.
And the final "icing on the cake" were the new drawer pulls that coordinately beautifully with the vintage-looking fabric.
