Hi Janie, this looks great! I think it's perfect, but if you wanted to add a picture or two that would look nice.

Hi Janie, Nice redo! I love that you created plenty of opportunities to hang towels. One suggestion I would make is to frame the mirror above the sink. Here's a video of how to do it rather inexpensively.

The renovation came out fantastic. A few decor adjustments will highlight the renovations. I think you need to take down the top two towels on the divider. That will maximize the light into the room. I agree with Deb K. in that you should bring some navy onto the grey wall. I would also something grey to the basket at the center of the bathroom vanity. One possibility is to paint the basket grey.

With blue and gray I would incorporate some black and white photos on the wall of something he would like, or family photos.

  • Wow! I think this looks great! You could maybe find a better organizer for on top of the sink instead of just laying things in that basket. HomeGoods or TJMaxx has some good countertop storage solutions! I hope he has a good year!

Looks great! Maybe a colourful print on the wall by the door - something that brings in his personality. And maybe some plants hanging in the space between the sink and toilet vs those towels. Even faux plants will grunt life into the room. :)

A big picture of Mom and Dad. Other than that , leave it alone.

  • The wall next to the door needs something. Maybe something that reflects your son's interests or something nautical?

The wall next to the sink near door needs a hand towel ring.

    Really nice color choices!

I don't see how you'd frame your mirror, given it's size. I'd probable remove it and install a smaller mirror, or two mirrored medicine cabinets, adding lights on the sides to facilitate shaving (no shadows).

Because the florring is primarily blue and white, I'd recommend a white rug rather than dark grey. I agree with swapping out the brown trimmed towels for white trimmed with navy or grey, and alternate their placement to permit more light from 2 angles. Spray paint the basket a light grey or if you're talented, two toned.

A picture to the left of the sink, with non reflective glass would also add to a very nice bath.

    I personally like large mirrors.

I discovered a hand held bidet and LOVE it. What would make you feel fresher a shower or just wiping your body with toilet paper? My hubby loved that so much he got one for the spare bathroom.

How is the lighting in the bathroom?

I recently switched from compact bulbs (the ones that look like DQ ice cream cones) to led bulbs. They put out more light and use less electricity and they last longer too.

I keep a spray bottle of Dawn and vinegar mixed together to clean the shower and counter top.

Is there a clothes basket in there? I have found a dirty clothes basket handy also.

Thanks for the ideas. Yes, the bigger the mirror the better - we have 5 kids so needs as much rooms as can find. Dirty clothes hamper is hidden in wall cabinet storage on right. I guess I was just looking for the right decor. Can’t remove the metal poles so I hung the towels. Thanks for idea of color choices for towels. I like the ideas of spray painting the middle basket gray! We have LED Ceiling spot lights and window gives off tons of light during day. I think we are good on lighting for now. Thanks for idea of Dawn and vinegar! Great for a boys bathroom 😉

Add a frame to the mirror. Trace the outline since it is a large mirror by taping large sheets of paper to it since it is an irregular shape. Cut out of a sheet of plywood and paint the dark navy or grey you are using.

It looks great! Good job Mom & Dad! I would hang a picture above the outlet by the door and call it good. Maybe a painting that incorporates all the bathroom colors and a pop of color like mustard yellow.

I would find something with color for the wall by the toothbrush. If you son has any hobbies or like such as old cars that would be a cool picture Go to Hobby Lobby and look at the prints. Make sure to use the 50% off coupon. Or Kirklands has some nice wall prints. I would also buy a counter organizer, Kirklands or Home Goods. Love the towel bars by the mirror.
