This closet has been prepared for a guest room for relatives or friends to come visit. The home was purchased a couple years ago, but now it is time to do some spring cleaning! The room was done on a previous tutorial I posted, but now it was time for the closet. (See url below concerning the flooring)
First the walls were primed and painted a soft sage green. Then a floor was put down.
The carpet was torn out and the floor cleaned and prepared for a wood floor. For a tutorial on how to lay wood flooring go to: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/floors-ceilings/i... However, this is just the closet in a bedroom, so it was much easier.
The wall and floor looked beautiful when it was finished. Now it was time to put in a simple but practical way to organize the closet for visitors to use.
Here was the old closet before it was painted and a new floor put down. A painted trim board was added also. You can see it in the final photo of the closet.
Here is the finished closet and painted bedroom ready for guests to come in the spring. The room was newly painted and the floor replaced in the room, so it all looks new. A door is in the process to be finished too. It will be added when it is done. But I wanted you to see how much better this looks.
