This guy is solid cherry, well built and my oh my so heavy.
First the dated pulls have to go. They are to busy for my taste. Clean and simple is the goal here
First I removed the pulls ( saved them for a future project) then gave every thing a good cleaning and Started sanding
I sanded the top to reveal the beauty of the wood
Filled all the holes left behind from the pulls
I desided to go with a slight grey tone on the paint
I used gate handles in a gold tone as the pulls.
And the finished project.
