China Cabinet Bottom

I had this china cabinet and I previously posted what I did with the top in a posting called Hutch Top. This is the bottom half and I use it to hold all my sample size paints and yarns and general craft supplies. I actually have two of these for supplies plus SEVERAL other storage pieces. I need to get a shop!!
My inspiration for this piece was these dresser designs with birds on it. Every room in my house has a bird, an elephant and a statue of someone praying. That’s what I collect, what can I say?
I laid the dresser out on the floor on top of a piece of large plastic and primed then painted it
I tried to use this Marth Stewart stencil but it was not really working out. I sprayed adhesive on the back and used a stencil brush and tried to dry brush the pain in but it was not working for me.
I wound up free handing it and going crazy LOL. I also decoupaged birds on it that I cut out from a book I got from the Audubon Society.
I wanted the birds to look real.
I sealed the design with a good coat of Modge Podge.
I really like this piece and it has help up over the years!
