Julie from Salvage Sisters & Co. transformed this stunning, masculine tall boy with Midnight Sky and both natural and antiquing wax. Isn’t it fantastic?!
I don’t know about you but I’m loving navy right now! I’m loving it for walls, kitchen islands, doors and exterior colors…. yeah, pretty much everything. Using it in your house feels like a dramatic decision and if you don’t change permanent fixtures very often it may be risky! Adding it in as an accent piece is a lot less risky and less of a commitment. I thought this dresser would be the perfect choice for Country Chic Paint in Midnight Sky.

This tall boy was already painted a white color years ago and had a lot of dings and scratches. I just cleaned it up and sanded down some of the deeper scratches and painted it with two coats of Midnight Sky.
I cleaned and put the original hardware back on, it really had a lot of character. I like the more classic vintage hardware with the masculine color. Navy is such a versatile color and looks great with pretty much any color scheme. You can use it as a basic neutral or instead of black.
I finished it with a coat of clear wax and a little dark wax around some of the details. I wanted to really let this rich, vibrant blue shine. This dresser demands attention!
Thanks for stopping by!
