Dumpster Rescue

Do you know where I found this gem?! I was waiting at a traffic light and spotted this one by an apartment dumpster. Yes, I can see unwanted furniture miles away! It was nothing great but in excellent condition with good bones & dovetailed drawers. It just needed to be transformed with CeCe Caldwell Chalk & Clay Paints.

Then came Thomasville Teal & Newport Navy

I took some baby wipes, wet distressed and mixed the colors together until I was happy with the result.

After a rich coat of clear wax, I applied CeCe Caldwell's Bingham Canyon Copper Wax to the edges. Lightly at first because it was my first time using it. I loved the look so much I added more. Now see the transformation!
After - Transformed with CeCe Caldwell Paints
Now would you know that this was a dumpster rescue?! I love the weathered look that all the layers provided.
