The console table is from a thrift store which I got for $13! I wanted to turn this into an entry hallway decor piece. Lets get started!

This is the table when I got it. There were a few cracks on the top right corner. I used wood glue to stick it together.
Sand the table so that the paint can adhere to the table for a smoother finish.
I used 120 grit sand paper and sanded the entire table and used a dust cloth to wipe away the dust.

Here's how it looked after sanding with 120 grit and wiping the dust away
Now the table is ready to prime
For priming I used latex paint primer in the color white. latex paint is easy to maintain as we can clean/wipe the surface with water/damp cloth and is durable too.
Applied 1 coat of primer for the table and the drawer
The primer takes 1-2 hours to dry depending on the primer you use. After drying, use a 220/240 grit sand paper and sand it which helps you to achieve a professional finish. Then use the dust cloth and wipe away the dust.
Apply the first top coat with a roller brush for an even finish and use a foam brush or paint brush for the corners. Dry it and then apply a second coat.

Now I wanted to give the table a little dimension. I stuck painters tape 4" from the bottom leg and spray painted with gold. You have to cover the remaining portion of the leg with painters tape or any poly sheet to avoid any gold spray paint on the white painted surface while spraying.
Cover the legs with a paper/sheet while spray painting the bottom legs

I bought 2 gold knobs for the drawer as the old ones don't go with this new look. If you have something that works out, you can spray paint the knobs to the desired color of your choice.

The final product!
