A Drab Chest Becomes An Elegant Beauty

This project was not on my 'Six Most Important Things To Do List' today. But, as I was cleaning this little chest called out to me. This little ugly duckling became the squeaking wheel that needed attention....
Silvered and blinged out, this little chest once a meek wallflower now is the Belle of the dining room ball seeking attention.
This little chest, quietly sat in the corner of the dining room near the piano. She was functional, but not very pretty. As the children took piano lessons over the years, she neatly housed all of the music books. Now, she'll continue to keep music books - but also fit as part of the newly redecorated dining room Note: after silver paint has dried seal the chest or furniture with spray poly, otherwise the silver may rub off.
This sweet beauty need no longer hide behind the swinging kitchen door - she can stand out and become a beautiful part of the dining room's new decor scheme
It took no more than 10 minutes to transform this sweet little chest. I took out the music books, cleaned her, took her outside and sprayed Krylon's Silver Foil Metallic paint - a couple coats and quick dry time she was ready for her dining room debut!
