Most picture or mirror frames have a good backing to add a little something different. I had some chicken wire and turned this old mirror frame into a jewelry frame! It’s a total transformation for something you’d just throw away!

First I cut the wire to fit the back of the frame. Then I used a lot and I mean a lot of hot glue!

*heres a tip! When glueing the wire, make sure to start at the top or bottom and completely attach that portion. Then, glue one side completely. That way if there is any any bumps you can smooth them out by applying light presser to the center as you glue the opposite sides*

Heres what mine looked like after glueing.

Heres the front view! You can’t Even tell what it is once used for!

Now my favorite part, painting! I’m a furniture artist, so I love making things look new again! (Click on my link to see what products I sell and follow my social media accounts to see what I’m up to!)

Final result! I love what paint can do!

A simple project with a huge result!

Here’s a close up of all that color and shimmer!

I used several colors. And blended them. I’ve only been able to achieve looks like this with DIY paint. Not with you basic chalk paint. No sanding is required in most cases. I haven’t posted a tutorial on achieving this look, but maybe I can put something together. So thank you! I do have all the colors I used along with a specific brush. Just private message me. 😊

I turned an old bar window into a Memorial shadow box for my grandson. I did fractal burning alone the frame. I used several different mediums throughout. It was an emotionally exhausting but a bit of peace and closure.
