DIY Mobile Pallet Coffee Table
How to build a mobile coffee table for an outdoor porch using wood pallets.
We picked out two pallets that we had on hand from our winter pellet deliveries.
First, we took a saw and cut right down the pallet to the dimensions we had chose, 2 feet wide. Then we removed the boards and sanded down the number of boards we needed to complete the 4 feet length we also chose. The sanding is what takes the longest in this project. The rest is pretty easy.
I ordered 2 Shepherd Hardware 9346 2-inch medium duty plate casters, 2 pack from Amazon that had an antique copper finish for $5.68 for a 2 pack and free shipping.
Line up all sanded pieces to create the coffee table.
Once we did this, we decided we wanted to close off the ends for a more finished look.
We added two additional boards on each end and secured them with a few random bolts inside.
We created the legs to raise the table to a tabletop of 19 inches including the casters to be added afterward. I show this process step by step up on the blog.
Once the legs and casters were on, we nailed the table top boards in and added a glass top from a local glass vendor.
