Want to add huge curb appeal to your home? Why not put in some window boxes? If you already have some basic woodworking skills, then this DIY is an easy one. Start with a couple of 1x6 cedar planks, scraps of 1x12s (or pre-made corbels), 2 inch screws, a circular saw, jig saw, and power drill.

Measure the width of your window and cut three boards to that length. These will be the bottom, front, and back of your window box.

Next you are going to cut two pieces to make the ends. Make sure you measure all the highlighted areas and add those together to get a clean fit.

Assemble your box by following this picture. Screws go where the stars are.

We aren't done yet! Be sure to drill holes in the bottom for drainage. To see the finished product and get more details for the tutorial, head on over to Charming Imperfections! A window box is a wonderful addition for the beautiful home.
