DIY Craft Room: Jumbo Framed Pegboard Wall

We spent around $100 to get all the supplies. Everything else you’ll see on the board are things I had, “shopped” for from around our house, or made for the board. The frame pieces cost the most at $36 worth of the project…since I wanted the pretty, decorative stuff!
For this project we purchased:
1 (4ft x 8ft) white pegboard
3 (8 ft) trim pieces
4 (2.5″x2.5″ wood block corners)

I love this! I have been wanting something like this for my craft room. today I found a very large peg board at a thrift shop for $1! then I realized my husband had found a very large frame at a thrift store many years ago and never did anything with it. it was still out in the garage. so I have claimed it for the frame for my peg board. it needs sanding (must have several coats of paint on it) and repainting but I think I can do it! my craft room has a leopard theme so I am trying to think of how I can do the leopard theme on my peg board. any suggestions?

Teresa, I think if you "leopard" your pegboard, it will be rather chaotic-looking by the time you get all your supplies on there. I would suggest you paint the pegboard (satin - just spray it) black, and then paint the frame gold. You could spray it with a metallic gold, or just spray it a gold-ish tan color, depending on how glitzy you want to go. Then, when the frame is dry, take a 1/2" flat brush and dab black short strokes on the frame to imitate leopard spots. Classy!
