These patriotic painted clothespins are so easy to make that the kiddos can help you. These flag clothespins are charming enough to give as gifts.
You can buy new clothespins or upcycled old or thrifted wood clothespins. If you can find the wider clothespins, they give you more space for your design.
Use simple craft paint and paint the clothespins to create your design. Make sure you let the paint dry between layers of design. I painted white craft paint first and then added the red stripes. Using a white paint pin gives no-fail "star" polka dots.
Patriotic painted clothes pins make great holiday decorations or gifts.
