Making an Easter Banner

Studio Paint
by Studio Paint
With spring and Easter around the corner thought I would brighten up my home with an Easter Banner.
I started by cutting my burlap fabric into triangles. I doubled up the fabric so I had another layer of burlap behind the top layer for contrast.
I used a stencil set and this bright paper to cut out the word "Easter". From there I began to Mod Podge my letters onto my triangles.
I then added white to the edges of the backing triangle (to give it more dimension when the front is applied).
After it was all dry I glued the two layers together with a slight offset to reveal the white shadowed layer. I then wanted to keep it simple and just add some colourful paperclips and jute string to attach it all together.
And Voila! My Easter Banner is ready to be hung!!
