Want a fun and easy way to DIY up your Memorial Day? Look no more! I have a nifty mason jar project that can be molded into our American Flag with some paint and washi tape.
First, take 3 mason jars and paint one entirely in blue. After painting the first mason jar in blue, put it to the side to completely dry. We’re going to need that mason jar dry for the next step in our flag!
Now, onto the other 2 mason jars. Begin by painting the very top of those mason jars red, the very part of the jar where the lid screws on.
After that, you’re going to take some washi tape, and make a strip out of that tape twice on the mason jars. The part the washi tape is covering is going to be the red stripes, so begin painting white over the uncovered jar parts.
Once that is done and dry, take off the washi tape, and proceed to paint the unpainted part underneath red. Now, you have the red and white stripes of the flag. But, we’re not done yet!
Now take the dried blue jar, and proceed to paint white stars on them with a fine tip paint brush.
Voila!
You have the American Flag on mason jars ready for Memorial Day!
