Valentine's Topiary❣
Beautiful topiary using Dollartree items
Start with unraveling the ribbon. It was very easy and I loved that it actually was one piece.
I changed my original idea of wrapping the dowel with the red ribbon I purchased to the ribbon I unraveled. One of the hearts ribbon was perfect.
Place the dowel in between the two hearts. I then started to tie together the hearts with some red ribbon to keep together. For extra measures I added some hot glue to some areas to make sure it doesn't fall apart😉
I added the leaves to make sure the heart would be fully covered.
The heart has these little notches on the side so I decided to add some leaves for extra coverage. I actually love the way it looks. On to the next side!!!!
Heart is finished.
Now time to place it in the pot. I purchased a cute bucket that had heart cutouts around the top. You can use a flower pot but I figured since I was keeping it indoors I went with what was cuter.
I added the Love that was on the initial wreath to the bucket for extra cuteness. Nothing is going to waste.😉
Using my glue gun it was very easy.
I glued down a styrofoam square in the center. Then I pushed the dowel down to make the hole. You can leave as is but I decided to pull it out and add hot use to the hole then replace the dowel.
I initially purchased 2 bags of rocks but felt 3 would be better. So I added another bag for a total of 3. Let's just say the ladies at Dollartree know me well now☺️
Last I added 2 smaller hearts to act as my leaves for extra Love
I absolutely love how this cam out❣ This would look great Indoors or out. As you can see I love the flowers at the Dollartree. I decorated my mantel and made the heart in the center using them.
Bonus craft💖
Another quick project you can use with the same flowers from Dollartree. They have heart shaped metal wreath. Just remove the flowers from stem add some of the leaves. Glue down following the shape. Leave as is or add ribbon.
Materials: flowers, wreath and glue gun.
