Christmas Card Holding Wreath

How many ways can you display Christmas cards? I have hung string and draped them over. I have taped them to glass doors. Displayed them on top of the console TV... Those blow over easy. I even have a spiral metal tree that is supposed to hold them. As the years go by and technology takes over our lives. I get less and less cards. Maybe money is tight and people don't want to buy cards and mail them out. Maybe like me this year they feel Grinchy and just don't want to be bothered. Bah humbug... I almost didn't put up the tree this year. I am just not feeling it. This wreath I made last year before I started to make Hometalk posts. So I only have a few pictures, but you will get the idea of what to do and how it works.
I started with a foam pool noodle you can get these in the summer time at places like Walmart and the Dollar Tree. Surprisingly Walmart is about 2 cents cheaper than the Dollar Tree. I started by using Duct tape to hold the noodle in a ring shape. I then used some red wire that I got at the dollar tree where they have the floral arranging stuff. The white stuff is quilt batting I already had.
I cut the batting into 3" wide strips. Wrap it around the noodle overlapping. I used it it help hide the redness of the pool noodle.
This glitter drape from the Dollar tree is a bit thinner than it looks that was why I used the quilt batting to hide the redness of the pool noodle. Cut this into strips as well and wrap over the quilt batting on the noodle wreath
Here I went under the wire. It needs to be exposed for hanging
My first attempt at a bow. I'm sorry it isn't very pretty. I used 3 different ribbons from the Dollar Tree.
Clothespins, also Dollar tree. I hot glued them randomly around the wreath. Make some face in and some face out, for displaying the cards. You could paint these white to blend in. Or festive colors if you prefer.
My first card came the day I made the wreath My sister in law in the UK always sends the nicest cards.
A few days later and I have more cards. If you placed some of the clothespins facing out this display can get quite large with cards.
