Tools and materials
- Toy plates and cutlery
- Spray paint

- Gingerbread men
- Hot glue gun
1. Spray paint the plates
Take your plastic toy plates, and the red spray paint, go outside or to the garage (if it's too cold), and spray them really quickly. Let them dry depending on the weather, could take an hour or a day.
When they are dry, you'll maybe see some are darker, as they were blue or green. Don't worry they would look cuter that way.
2. Add puffy paint details
Grab some white puffy paint and paint swirls, dots, or rickrack on the plate border.
Let it dry for at least a couple of hours.
3. Glue the gingerbread men to the plates
Now it's time to take those cute gingerbread man cookies and glue them to the center of the plates.
4. Glue the cutlery to the plates
Then take your toy plastic forks and knives, and glue them to the sides of the plates. Make sure you add glue to the part that touches the plate.
You are almost done with this cutie! If you want to use them for a tiered tray, or as shelf decor stop here. But if you want to make a cute ornament keep going!
5. Add baker's twine
With bakers, twine, make a loop and two knots on the bottom. The length of the loop would depend on the length you want your ornaments. Then glue the part with the knot to the back of the plate.
