DIY Fall Twig Centerpiece

There are so many beautiful home decor items available in the stores and online but they can be very pricey so I love to come up with inexpensive ways to decorate and make my home feel festive each season. One inexpensive way to do this is to bring a little of the outdoors inside your home. In the fall, I bring in pumpkins from the garden, beautifully colored fall leaves, acorns, twigs, and pine cones. Twigs are great for a DIY Fall Twig Centerpiece Craft, giving height and natural beauty to your table.

This craft uses mostly materials you may have on hand so it could range in cost between free to $25 if you had to buy the vase and paints.
Gather your supplies and cover your work surface to protect it.

Begin by brushing any debris from your twigs.  Twigs of various sizes work best to give your centerpiece more interest.

Pour a small amount of paint out and begin painting your sticks.  I selected a metallic paint in fall colors to add some sparkle. Set painted twigs aside to dry as you go.
Once the twigs have dried decide if you’d like to add another coat of paint to them.  I wanted a little of the natural twig to show through so I did not add a second coat.

Place the painted twigs in a glass vase for a beautiful, easy DIY twig fall centerpiece.

You can add stems of flowers or berries to this as well.  You can even do this in other colors for different seasons too!

I painted my twigs with the same paint as my Rustic FALL sign.  This DIY Twig Fall Centerpiece Craft would look great together with the DIY Rustic Decor for Fall, be sure to check it out now!
