Rustic Sunflower Centerpiece

Faux florals have come a long way in recent years as far as quality. While I'm not opposed to faux greens, nothing compares with decorating with fresh flowers. You don't have to spend a lot of money to do so. I can usually find what I need for fresh arrangements at my grocery store.
Instead of using regular vases, I like to use less traditional vessels for interest. In this case, I used a wooden tool caddy. I love the rustic look of it. Inside, I filled it with small mason jars to hold water.
Next I fill it up with greens, in this case I used seeded eucalyptus (my favorite). The trick is to make it really full, if it's too sparse it won't look good. Once the greens are filled in, I add larger flowers next, in this case the sunflowers.
Lastly, I fill it in with smaller flowers to balance it out. Changing the water every other day will help them last at long as possible.
It also helps to know which local grocery store has the best selection of florals. I found the best one in my area, and they never disappoint with their amazing selections!
