I've wanted one for a like 20 years. This year I finally collected all the right sizes and types of pine cones I needed and made it. I know these wreaths had their hey-day many years ago, but I'm really glad to have one now. More information available at the blog.

Penny Heeren on Nov 20, 2016My mother used to make these by the dozens back in their heyday. While she started with using wire to attach them, she found it a lot less expensive to cut out wreath forms on plywood and attaching the cones by hot glue. I got the fun job of going back with a small paint brush to brush away the strands of hot glue that got left behind.

Somewhat Quirky on Nov 20, 2016That's a good idea. I used enough hot glue on this one that when I hung it on my front door over the winter that the sun softened to the point that half the one cones fell off!
