Chalk Board Wine Bottles That Change With the Season!

Start with wine bottles, wash them and take the labels off. Use hot water and soap and for tough fighting labels the bar keepers friend and a wire brush will get them off.
Once clean and without a label, paint the bottle with glass chalkboard paint.
Let dry and do another 3 coats.
After 4 days bake for 30 minutes in non-preheated oven. Cool with oven door open. Lightly rub chalk over painted surface to condition.
Depending on the season you can change the arrangement and the message.
I used holly, pine and box wood from my garden and repurposed a ribbon from Christmas last year.

Very easy to make and great gifts that cost very little. The feedback from friends who received them have been very positive.

Totally agree with you on the Bar Keepers. Works great on my ceramic stove top also!
